Bessie YANDLE
Bessie was quite a buxom woman and a real salesperson. They had the most beautiful chinawear - probably from the shop.
139. Eunice Myrtle (Myrtle) MORTENSEN
Myrtle had a shop on the corner of Karangahape and Ponsonby Roads, Auckland, New Zealand, selling china and giftware. This may have been the same shop her mother owned. Myrtle had no children.
141. Marion Daphne (Daphne) MORTENSEN
Never married. No issue. She had what was described as a "very good position" in a professional office.
144. Percy McGregor MORTENSEN
Took over the family farm. Had 2 children.
145. Victor Jack MORTENSEN
Died in WW2.
37. Ida Lillian MORTENSEN
Ida was banished from the family home when her illegitimate son, Ted MORTENSEN, was born.
146. Edward Archibald ("Ted") MORTENSEN
Illegitimate son of Ida Lillian MORTENSEN. Betty MORTENSEN can remember Ted in Avondale. He owned a lovely brick home there. He never married and spent a lot of time with his "pals at the Pub". Boxer.
39. Montague Leslie ("Jack") MORTENSEN
Montague worked with the Auckland trams from time to time as a mechanic. He became a Disabled Serviceman about 1930, after internal operations were needed to repair damage done by Mustard gas in the War.
He was very clever with his hands and made toys for children.
