Named after Lauris (Lauritz) LARSEN's brother, Bernt LARSEN, b. 20 Feb 1860, Næs Prgj., Akershus, Norway.

Bernard's neice, Ethel THORNE (nee DUNNAGE) remembers him as very studious, a librarian.

A Week of It
Tuesday. Jean Larsen deposits a huge collection of cinema slides. Jean’s brother Jack was the projectionist at the Norsewood Town Hall for 25 years and must have kept the slides.

Gave birth to one of her children at "Fernhills", Norsewood, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand (home of Hans MORTENSEN and his wife Oline, nee FREDERIKSON, who was her aunt).

7. Bertha Matilda ("Tilly") LARSEN
Ethel THORPE (nee DUNNAGE) remembers her mother as having a lovely nature, very gentle, very pleasant, good tempered, a best friend, devoted mother who spoiled her children.
Bertha Matilda ("Tilly") had cancer at about age 60, recovered.
Member of the Mothers' Union, League of Mothers.
Loved gardening: gardened until she was in her 90s. Had her own seed potatoes.

Lived into his 90s. Never married. No children.
