3. Bernt (Bernard) LAURITZSEN (LARSEN)

Named after Lauris (Lauritz) LARSEN's brother, Bernt LARSEN, b. 20 Feb 1860, Næs Prgj., Akershus, Norway.

Bernard's neice, Ethel THORNE (nee DUNNAGE) remembers him as very studious, a librarian.

Wrote a book, "Norsewood ANZACs."

Married twice. Second time in Pahiatua, New Zealand.


4. Lars LARSEN

A Week of It
Tuesday. Jean Larsen deposits a huge collection of cinema slides. Jean’s brother Jack was the projectionist at the Norsewood Town Hall for 25 years and must have kept the slides.

Ended up at Clive, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.


Frances Helen ("Nellie") CLEMETT

Left Norsewood, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, to live in Ohakune, King Country, New Zealand.

Gave birth to one of her children at "Fernhills", Norsewood, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand (home of Hans MORTENSEN and his wife Oline, nee FREDERIKSON, who was her aunt).


6. Peter Lauritz LARSEN

7. Bertha Matilda ("Tilly") LARSEN

Ethel THORPE (nee DUNNAGE) remembers her mother as having a lovely nature, very gentle, very pleasant, good tempered, a best friend, devoted mother who spoiled her children.

Bertha Matilda ("Tilly") had cancer at about age 60, recovered.

Member of the Mothers' Union, League of Mothers.

Loved gardening: gardened until she was in her 90s. Had her own seed potatoes.


35. George Alexander DUNNAGE

Lived into his 90s.

Never married. No children.


36. Ethel Ada DUNNAGE

Last address: E.A. THORNE, 141 A Grey Street, Palmerston North, Manawatu, New Zealand. Previously lived at 6 Franklin Avenue, Palmerston North, Manawatu, New Zealand.


Leonard George THORNE

Last address: 6 Franklin Avenue, Palmerston North, Manawatu, New Zealand.
