Also recorded as BØLSTAD and BALSTAD.
Hans's brother, Samuel HANSEN, emigrated to New Zealand on the 1873 "Høvding".

There is an unknown Bolstad grave in Pioneer Block 1 at Norsewood Cemetery: Tararua District Council, Record 3424. Several other BOLSTADs listed in Tararua District Council records.
Two BOLSTAD graves in Palmerston North records: Oscar Emanuel BOLSTAD and David Allan BOLSTAD.
