One of first settlers at Norsewood, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
Descendants of Engebret ENGEBRETSEN SANDER (ENGLEBRETSEN) believed that Johannes ENGEBRETSEN was Engebret's brother. There is no evidence to support this.
Also have birth place as Eda, Dalsland, Sweden.

Inger Maria (Mary) PEDERSDATTER
One of first settlers at Norsewood, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
Also recorded as Inger Marie PETTERSDOTTER.
Married Martin GURZINSKI after death of her first husband, Johannes ENGEBRETSEN (ENGLEBRETSEN).
Her brother, Christian PETERSEN also came to New Zealand.
2. Pauline Johane PETERSDATTER
Illegitimate daughter of Inger Marie PEDERSDATTER and Peter PETERSEN. Came to New Zealand, but does not appear to have travelled with her mother. No death or burial found.

12. Hilda Villimin (Hilda Wilhelmina) ENGEBRETSEN

Mr J. ENGLEBRETSEN's little daughter Hilda, while riding on the step of her father's coach (Norsewood) got her leg between the spokes of one of the wheels and had the small bone broken. Dr GRADEMAN [sic] was called in and set the injured limb, and we hear that the child is doing well. ==
