Lived in Wanganui. Had five daughters and owned a mattress factory.

Knud ANDERSEN AULI (ANDERSEN)
Between 1865 and 1875 Knud ANDERSEN resided at Aulibrenna, Søndre Auli, Strøm, Sør-Odal, Hedmark, Norway.
Tailor; farmed his land with the help of his sons.

Have not been able to find birth in parish register, so this person may not exist.
24. Elen Andrea (Ellen) KNUDSDATTER AULI (ANDERSEN)
Spinster. Ellen was the only member of the family to attend high school. She was the 'clever' one, and a well-known teacher in the district. She was also a tramper and adventurer, and carved furniture. (Source: Bev CORBETT.)
25. Anders (Andrew) ANDERSEN

"Mr Knud Andersen wrote asking the [Norsewood School] Committee to give permission for his boy Andrew to absent himself from school, as he was wanted at home. He would receive efficient instruction at home, and would be 13 years old in September. -- Committee unable to grant permission. -- Mr RIES said that Mr ANDERSEN had come to him and asked what he must do. He (Mr RIES) had advised hiom to write to the Committee." Andrew returned from WWI with injuries. He never married, and lived with his sisters in latter years. (Source: Bev CORBETT.)

29. Klara Randine (Clara Rangdi) ANDERSEN
There is some suggestion that Klara had a twin named Alfred. However, the only Alfred ANDERSEN/ANDERSON born in Norsewood in 1883 is Alfred Richard ANDERSEN, son of Anton Hartvig ANDERSEN and his wife, Randine (nee JOHANSDATTER (JOHANSEN)). Clara was the only member of Knud ANDERSEN's family to return to Norway. She ran out of money for her trip and her brother-in-law, Harry BYERS, sent money and was horrified when she returned first class. (Source: Bev CORBETT.)
31. Harry ANDERSEN

4. Erik OLSEN GLOMSÅSHELLERUD (ERICKSEN)
Erik married twice. Following Gunda’s death, Erik married 49 year old widow Randine ANDERSON (nee JOHANSDATTER). He was aged 62 and worked as a machinist at the time. Both stated their normal place of residence as Norsewood, Tararua, New Zealand, though at the time of marriage were living in Dannevirke, Tararua, New Zealand.
Gunda PEDERSDATTER
Gunda appears as one of the signatories of the Woman's Suffrage Movement at Mokutuka in 1893.
She is alleged to have been the first white woman in the world to ever cast a vote. (Source: R. E. HANSEN). New Zealand was the first country in the world to give voting rights to women.
Randine (Randina) JOHANSDATTER (JOHANSEN)
One of early settlers at Norsewood, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
Randine married twice. After she was widowed, she married Erik ERICKSEN. Both stated their normal place of residence as Norsewood, Tararua, New Zealand, though at the time of marriage were living in Dannevirke, Tararua, New Zealand. Randine was aged 49.
There is an excerpt in the Bush Advocate 18 July 1889 referring to the inquest of Randine's and her first husband’s son, Alfred, drowning in a gravel pit in Ngamoko Road, Norsewood, Tararua, New Zealand.
7. Ole ("Young Ole") OLSEN GLOMSÅSHELLERUD (ERICKSEN)
One of first settlers at Norsewood, New Zealand.
(Two outstanding settlers were Mr and Mrs Ole Ericksen (who owned a general merchants store). Mr Ericksen had represented Norsewood on all important organisations for the benefit of his fellow settlers. For his unfailing and untiring efforts he earned and was called "Father of Norsewood.") – Bob Hansen
In 1890 Ole ERICKSEN was appointed Deputy Registrar of Marriages, Births and deaths in the Norsewood district later becoming Registrar.
