"A Norsewood correspondent writes :—
The barn belonging to Mr Grubner on the German Line was totally destroyed by fire at 12 o'clock yesterday. It is an unfortunate loss, as the fire consumed Grubner's hay and grass seed, together with bedding and Clothing, and there Is no insurance."

"The fire that destroyed Mr Grubner's barn occurred at about 2.30 p.m. The barn had only lately been built and contained all his winter feed and some bedding. His children slept in the upper part, but the fire could not have been caused by their occupation as it started under the building at a different end to where the children slept. Grubner was at home at the time and had just finished building a cowshed and bail when the fire broke out. He is quite unable to account for the outbreak."
