Emigrants' list records Marie as married to Kristian SVENDSEN, but "Høvding" passenger list suggests they may be independent. The promisory note for Kristian SVENDSEN has been crossed out, and Marie SVENDSEN has a promisory note for £12 which is insufficient for a couple with one child. (Alternatively, they may be married and have been able to pay a portion of their passage, thus reducing the amount of the promisory note.)
5. Carl Oscar CHRISTIANSEN (SVENSEN)
Carl Oscar CHRISTIANSEN appears in the 1865 Norwegian census as the son of Christian SVENSEN and Marie JOHANSEN. He did not emigrate with his parents, so may have died in Norway before 1872.
